What happens in this clip

A custom handrail, fabricated by a local welding shop (Boston Welding), is installed. The handrail was made from 1.25-inch tubular steel, precisely bent using a computer-guided machine, and then finished with a durable enamel coating. Position the handrail by aligning it with pre-marked positions on the newel post, ensuring it extends past the top and bottom steps to allow users to grasp it before ascending or descending. The handrail height must be adjusted to fall within building code requirements (typically 34 to 38 inches off the nose of a stair tread) and to suit the user's comfort. Once the ideal height is determined, drill pilot holes and securely fasten the handrail brackets to the newel post using screws and a wrench/socket.
