After the new LED light fixture is fully installed and all connections are secure, return to the circuit breaker panel. Turn the power back on to the circuit. Activate the light switch to test the functionality of the new fixture.
Goal: Confirm the new LED light fixture is working correctly
This project details the replacement of an old, broken fluorescent light fixture with a new LED light fixture. The key challenge encountered was the absence of a proper electrical ceiling box, which necessitated the installation of an "old work" electrical box to safely and properly mount the new fixture. The video covers steps from diagnosing the issue to installing the new light.
Once all connections are made and fixtures are installed, go to the main electrical panel and turn the power back on to the circuit. Test each light by operating the associated switch. Verify that all lights illuminate properly and consistently. If any light does not work, immediately turn off the power and re-check all wiring connections.
This project involves planning the layout, safely running electrical wiring, cutting holes in the wall, installing the light fixtures, and connecting them to a power source. It's a moderately complex electrical project that requires careful attention to safety and building codes.
