The next step is to install interior electrical fixtures. Begin by locating pre-installed cables using floor plans or careful measurements. Mark out the positions for downlights and speakers on the ceiling. Use a specialized hole saw bit (avoiding potentially dangerous adjustable cutters) with a drill to cut circular holes in the plasterboard ceiling. Pull the electrical cables through these holes. For smart switches and sockets, wire them according to electrical codes, ensure they are level, secure them to the wall, and remove any protective films. These smart devices allow remote control via a smartphone app.
Goal: Install recessed lighting, speakers, smart switches, and sockets
This project outlines the final stages of completing a garden room, including exterior green wall installation, interior electrical and lighting, door and skirting fitting, LVT flooring, air conditioning, and full bathroom installation with accessories, plumbing, and painting. It culminates in a reveal of the fully finished and functional space.
If adding new electrical wiring or fixtures, follow all safety precautions and local building codes. This may involve cutting into drywall, running wires, and connecting to a power source. If using plug-in lamps, simply position them as desired.
