Install Stringer Hangers and Stringers

What happens in this clip

Mark the ledger board for 15-inch on-center spacing for the five stair stringers. Attach stringer hangers (e.g., Simpson Strong-Tie LSU210) to the ledger board at these marked locations, ensuring they are level with the top of the ledger. Use all specified nail holes in the hangers for maximum strength, using hanger-specific nails. Once the hangers are secure, carefully lift and place each stair stringer into its corresponding hanger. The bottom tab of the hanger can be bent up slightly to facilitate easier installation. Secure the stringers to the hangers by driving hanger nails into the side holes.
