Extend the Staircase with Subsequent Steps

What happens in this clip

With the bottom riser securely anchored, place the next step in position. You will need to determine the optimal spacing based on the slope of your hillside, your preferred angle, and comfort. A common practice is to divide the space up evenly, ensuring that the bottom of the next riser aligns roughly with the top of the previous step. Once the position is determined, pre-drill holes on either side of the riser and screw it into the side stringers. Repeat this process, moving up the hillside, until all steps are installed.
