Adjust Handrail Connection for Optimal Fit

What happens in this clip

If, after the initial connection, the handrail feels loose or is not perfectly aligned, adjustments can be made. To remove the handrail for adjustment, tap underneath it to disengage the screw from the keyhole slot. For a loose railing, use a screwdriver to tighten the 1 1/4 inch screw in the handrail, driving it slightly deeper so its head is closer to the surface. If the railing does not move down completely into the keyhole slot, meaning the connection is too tight, loosen the screw by turning it out slightly, moving its head further from the handrail surface. Repeat the connection process (Step 5) and re-check for tightness and alignment.
