Secure the First Tread

What happens in this clip

Once the first tread is accurately positioned, secure it in place. If the treads are self-adhesive, carefully peel off the backing and firmly press the tread onto the stair, ensuring good contact across its entire surface. If not self-adhesive, apply double-sided carpet tape to the back of the tread before pressing it down. Ensure the tread is smooth and free of wrinkles.

We recommend starting at the back edge of the tread, gently laying it down. Once you're confident in your placement, apply firm, even pressure across the entire surface of the tread.
