Step 3 · Apply Bonding Primer (if painting)
If you are painting the banister, apply one or two thin, even coats of a bonding primer specifically designed for slick surfaces. Use a high-quality synthetic bristle brush for smooth application. Allow each coat to dry according to the manufacturer's instructions before applying the next coat or proceeding to paint.
