What happens in this clip
The installer re-attaches the safety gate to the lower mounts on both sides of the stairway. He then extends the gate panels to their full width, ensuring they span the entire opening correctly. Next, he marks the positions for the final upper wall mounts on the second side, drills pilot holes, and secures these mounts with screws using the cordless drill. This completes the primary attachment of the entire gate structure to the wall.
