As an alternative for non-structural, small, aesthetic repairs, or for filling cracks, QUIKRETE Concrete Patching Compound is a pre-mixed, ready-to-use acrylic latex formula. Before applying, thoroughly stir the compound with a margin trowel or putty knife to ensure a uniform consistency. Apply it to a clean, dry concrete surface. Spread the compound evenly over the repair area and texture it to match the surrounding concrete. For a smoother finish, wet your trowel occasionally. For patches or cracks over 1/4 inch thick, apply the compound in multiple thin layers, allowing each layer to dry completely before applying the next.

Step 3 of 5: Apply the Patching Compound

Using a trowel or putty knife, scoop a portion of the mixed patching compound and press it firmly into the crack or chip. Work the compound into all voids and ensure it makes good contact with the underlying concrete. Overfill slightly to allow for shrinkage and easier feathering.
