We’ve engineered them to be washable, but this *must* be done by hand or through targeted spot-cleaning. **Never, ever machine wash your treads.** This is a critical safety and quality point: machine washing can irreparably damage the innovative adhesive backing that keeps your treads securely in place, significantly reducing their grip and potentially causing shrinkage due to heat. For those times when a deeper clean is needed, perhaps every few months, you can use a carpet shampooer or a hot-water extraction method – just be mindful not to saturate the treads. Always opt for a mild, pH-neutral detergent to protect the fibers and colors. This commitment to gentle care ensures your stairs remain safe, stylish, and built for everyday life.
