Step 2 · Drill Post Mounting Holes
Using a drill and an appropriately sized drill bit, create pilot holes at each marked post location. The size of the drill bit should correspond to the screws or bolts that will be used for mounting the posts. If mounting to wood, pre-drilling prevents splitting. If mounting to concrete or masonry, use a masonry bit and appropriate anchors. Ensure the holes are drilled straight and to the correct depth.
