Step 6 · Apply Protective Topcoat (Optional)

If desired for extra durability in a high-traffic area, apply one or two thin coats of a clear water-based polyurethane or a durable acrylic sealer. Use a high-quality synthetic brush and apply evenly. Allow each coat to dry completely as per the product instructions before applying the next coat or allowing foot traffic.
